History
Firewatch was founded in 2006 when Melvin Lowe and subsequently his successor Michele Lacrosse combined their construction experience and passion for fellow veterans to start participating in competitive contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Over the years we have expanded our client base to working with many Federal, State and Local agencies and have since completed more than 100 projects valued in excess of $125M. While other contractors have come and gone, we strive to be the most respected and experienced SDVOSB contractor. Our fundamental goals at Firewatch: build quality projects safely, on time, and on budget; no matter how large or small.
“Fire Watch is a term that Marines call guard duty. We found this relevant to our company mission statement as our first priority is to protect our client, employees and subcontractors.”
Our Standards
Firewatch has a strict policy to comply with all laws, rules, and regulations affecting the conduct of our business in all locations in which we operate. Firewatch is committed to achieving the highest standards in business and personal ethics so that the company and all of its employees will merit and enjoy the respect and esteem of the public, the business community, customers, suppliers and most importantly…fellow Veterans.

A Proactive Approach
Firewatch is proactive in developing and maintaining a culture of safety for each project. By staffing each project with safety professionals, and effectively implementing the current OSHA and EM-385 standards, Firewatch has been able to assure our EMR and safety ratings remain well below the industry averages.
Each project is staffed with competent subcontractors, all of which are prequalified in regard to safety history and records. By doing so, Firewatch assures each stakeholder on the project site recognizes and participates in the implementation of a highly successful safety program.
